Dynamic Figure Drawing Book Review
Dynamic Figure Drawing
This is one of those books that are filled to the brim with brilliant techniques but reading it is like pulling teeth. Now don't get me wrong it is a great book for both beginners and advanced art students like, but definitely not a casual read. The methodology is well thought out and well explained, it goes into great detail about proportions anatomy and the dynamics of motion and how to maximize the punch of your drawings using dynamic poses.
I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. This is the cheap Rally's Burger of technique manuals. It does the job but leaves you bloated with tons of extra information.

Line art

I drew these while watching a documentary about Ju/ Hoansi life. I believe it was called "Keep the dance alive"

penbrush sketch

A sketch I did with a pen brush/ marker ( copic brand ). I like the ability it gives me to draw like I was using a paintbrush and the fill side can do some great effects
